This errata document contains additional information on how to handle known Traffic Scanner problems. It is important to consult this document to learn about any post-release discoveries or problems that may already have been found and fixed.

2.1 Probe freezes

Problem Description

Due to unknown hardware bug, in certain designs, probe sometimes freezes.

Workaround

Upgrade your installation to Traffic Scanner 1.1.0 or later. This problem is avoided using ids-daemon - process repeatidly checking if probe is frozen and restarting consequently.
